CE 9.0 DB Connection

Recently installed CE9, How to connect the DB and query string parameters?
All our report files (RPT) are created by CR 9.0. Currently the parameters are passing into " RecordSelectionFormula ".

Basically we want connect the DB and set the formula in CE 9.0. If any one knows please share with this forum. If possible give me the example code for VB / ASP.

Hi,
When you publish the report you can set the database connection info using the Database tab for that report in the CMC.

There are several ways to pass a parameter, so specifying one example would depend on what method you are going to use to 'call' the report:
Essentially the URL that gets passed to the
viewrpt.crw looks like( if using the sf - Selection Formula method )
( < >s around values that will be specific to your request )

[URL unfurl="true"]http://myceserver/viewrpt.cwr?ID=<rptid>&sf={<YOURFIELDHERE>}[/URL] = '<somevalue>' 
etc...

The Crystal Decisions support site ( and their Developer Area) has many examples - as does the Web Developers guide in Launchpad..
