I've been attempting to set-up CE to email out, unfortunately I recieve the same error message (see below). I looked this up on the crystal knowledgebase, unfortunately the problem lists as a bud, if you use the TCPIP in the server name field, as I am using the full server name therfore this shouldn't apply (I hope)

Any ideas??

I'd guess that you don't have your SMTP settings right in the CrystalEnterprise.Smtp Destination area.

I use:

Domain Name: MyDomain.org
Server Name: mail1
Port: 25
Authentication: None
SMTP User Name: admin
SMTP Password: ******
From: Crystal Reports Server
To:
Cc:

This is for a standard Exchange Server setup.

You will also need to configure your Exchange server so that it will aceept relay email from your enterprise server. By default it is NOT enabled as enabling permits the server to be used as an open relay (very popular with spammers) Editor and Publisher of Crystal Clear
