I use thin clients out on our plant floor with touch screens to allow the production associates to report production through a software package. Previous thin clients have allowed me to setup an RDP connection to my server, saving the login information. After setting security, the user just pushes one button on the touch screen and they are connected and logged into the terminal services server.
I just got a new batch of thin clients with CE 6.0. The same OS as previous ones. Everything seems the same, except where I configure the RDP connection. Previous thin clients have allowed me to include a user name and password in the RDP connection config that it uses to log in to the server. This new one does not. I can put the server info, but right below it says "User name: None Specified You will be asked for credentials when you connect."
There are no keyboards on the plant floor to type in credentials. Much less do I want those associates typing in anything. Or to give them the opportunity to try to guess other passwords.
Maybe this is common knowledge but I can't find anything on it and I really need this to work. is there a solution out there? How can I save these credentials for this connection?
