I am using CR 10 and publishing to CE 10. Reports are served from my computer (Windows XP). Main database is MySql v.4.24. I sometimes link directly to MySql db with CR 10, other times link CR 10 to MS Access, which is linked via odbc to MySql server.

I create reports that are viewable by users on our local intranet. Up to now, the user has clicked on a url on our intranet 'Reports' page, after which a logon screen appeared. User left user and password fields blank (CE defaults to 'guest' user), and the current instance of the report they want appeared on the screen, as if they had navigated through the Crystal Management Console.

Something has just changed, though I'm not sure what. Now, If I am not logged into the Crystal Management Console, users get the following error:

Unable to retrieve objects: Automation server can't create object

If I login, the reports will show up fine. In the past, it wasn't necessary for me to be logged into CMC, but now it is. This would even be fine, but my login times out fairly quickly (Not sure how long, but less than 20 mins, I believe).

I've tried going into the CCM, disabling then re-enabling servers as one post suggested. To no avail.

Has anyone else run into this problem? I've now:
- reinstalled the latest service pack (Jan 2006) from Business Objects
- ran a 'repair' of CE 10
- re-registered a couple files associated with ActiveX (Scrrun.dll, etc.)

Thanks for any ideas you may have.
