Hi All

I am new to ce10, I was using seagate 7,5 really well and am trying to get my head around a problem with ce10, I have added a data source in business view manager and it works fine if I view the report and run it, when I go to schedule it the new data source isn't in the ACD dynamic parameter drop down box, only the default aspectcc and the 2 existing before I inherited this box, do I have to restart something for it to appear or ?? your help would be much appreciated

Andy

When you add a new data connection in Business View Manager it will not appear in the CE10 'ACD Dynamic Parameter' drop down until you refresh the reports.

You need to refresh the object via Crystal Management Console (Admin Launchpad).
WARNING #1: You will lose all your default parameters when you do this to make the new data source available. So you may want to make a record of these before you refresh. Then on the Properties tab of each report you click refresh options and then click refresh report

WARNING #2: You may lose any schedules that created for existing reports. So you may want to make a record of these so you can refer to later when resheduling all of the reports you've refreshed.

I suggest you take one report, note down default parameters, schedule times and then refresh it and get comfortable with the process before doing the rest. May want to do when no one else is using CE10.

Thanks I can see that now, pretty pants really
