CR 10 does not include a repository, and so to get one you must install the CMS from CE. During this instalation a CMS Database Information dialog box appears to specify the db info. I select SQL server (ODBC) and click the Select DSN button (the DSN button is the only option to continue). From there I am asked to select a data source, there are 2 tabs, File Data Source and Machine Data Source. Under the second there is a list of Data Source names, one of which is CR_Repository. When I click that it takes me back to the CMS Database Information screen, and the Next button is still not available. I am not sure how to proceed. What type of file is the Repository that I am trying to store, and where should I put it? What am I supposed to enter for the data source?

You need to select the SQL server where the datasource will be installed on. He account must have enuf rights to create the needed views/tables, etc.

First create a database in SQL Server. Create a user with admin rights in this database. Create a machine datasource called CE10 or any other to this database. Test it and then use it in your installation.
