CE 10.0 + SP4 and Oracle 10G client

Hi,

We have CE 10.0 + SP4, with Oracle 8i clinet. Reports are going againts 8i Oracle Server.

We are upgrading Oracle 8i server to 10G version and as per our Oracle DBA, we should also upgrade Oracle 8i clinet to Oracle 10G on CE Server.

My question is, does CE 10.0 support Oracle 10G clinet on CE Server and will I be able to report against 10G Oracle database.

Please advcie.

Yeah, it will read Oracle 10G databases with the proper client.

Thanks for the reply.

I read the platforms.txt file for CE 10.0 and it says only client and reporting database supported for oracle are 8i and 9.2

I just wanted to make sure that it will work fine with 10G Client and Reporting database even though it is not said in the platforms.txt

That's prolly because it predated 10G.
