Hi,
I am running with CDWM ring over nortel plateform, the following is the Network topology.
1. 8610x02 at 10 gig core, each with 8port CWDM-OADM Mux.
2. 1612Gx4 at Distribution(DS), each with 1port CWDM-OADM for respective Wavelength Add-drop.
Problem: Few of my DS are not able to get wavelength drop toward East Side Core, however both East-West Side of my 1Port-OADM and 8port OAM is working perfectly fine.
Workaround:
Local-Loop on network side of 8portOADM is ok
Local-Loop on east Side of 1portOADM is ok
Can't take local-loop from west side due to fiber cut.
Remote-Loop: Can't take as one more working DS lies between the one which is giving problem.
Observation: It is very strange that at both Core and Distribution Side i am getting the loop on network side but the wavelength is not dropping on core witch.
** IT is mandatory to have my west side Core switch working... i don't thing so... what u say!
