Help....
Nero ahs stopped recognising the CDRW (Artec WRR 52z) as a CDRW. If i check device manager, everything is still installed and has no errors or warnings against it. I am able to write CDs using the XP wizard so the CDRW is definately working. However when i use nero 5.5 or 6 it only allows me to create an image. I have looked in the choose recorder window and the only option i image recorder. How do i tell Nero that my drive is a CDRW

Thank you

Anna

If you cant find a way to do so in settings then i would suggest you start all over, uninstall nero and re-install it.

When i said the word "settings" i meant in nero's settings, not windows settings.

Yeah, sometimes Nero's settings become corrupted during the enabling or disabling of XP's built-in CD burning option.

Uninstalling/reinstalling Nero should help. If not, try disabling XP's CD burning service (right-click the burner and choose Properties), then uninstall/reinstall Nero again.

Yeah, and Adaptech's EZ-CD creator is even worse!

In Nero, when it opens click New.
Then File, Burn image.
Pick and "Open" the image to be burned from Explorer window.
Click Write.

Did you update the Nero program (needed under XP SP-2)? Bring up Nero, find the "Nero Product Center". It will tell you what version you have, and what is available.

Good thought, micker377, could possibly need to upgrade to v5.5 or 6.
