Hi all,
I would like to format my PC and then reinstall win95, I would like to run fdisk also.
I've start my PC with the floppy that comes with win95 but it doesn't load the CD.
How can I configure this?
Thanks!
Most systems will allow booting from CD.
Check the BIOS for the boot sequence, it's probably set to A, C, SCSI or somesuch.
Boot to the floppy, fdisk and format the drive, then restart, and go into BIOS setup.
In the boot sequence part, look for CD-ROM, C, A and set it to that.
Restart the computer, with the Windows CD in the drive.
Alternatively, you can get a good bootdisk from
that includes CD-ROM drivers, or if you've got a friend with windows98/98SE/ME, get them to make you a boot disk, which includes CD-ROM support, and use that. Cheers,
Jim

I don't know about you, but ALL my MS disks (including the 95, 98, 98SE upgrade, and the el-cheapo ME upgrade) are bootable. Cheers,

What version of 95 is it? I personally have never seen a bootable 95 CD. However, it may be because I usually deal with OEM releases and not retail.
