When just got my computer the CDROM wud read any CD I put automatically and start right away, now I have to launch by
going though the my computer icon.Is there any way I can get this feature back? I really miss it

hey slippers,

I think its the "autorun" thing. I know there are utilities out there for windows that can enable/disable this feature (and also a bunch of other features like "show startup logo, etc.". Are u using Windows 98/98SE? try searching windows help...

if your running 98/98 go into Device Mangler ( START,SETTINGS,CONTROL PANEL, SYSTEM, DEVICE MANAGER). open the CDROM tree at the top, click your cdrom, then properties, you should be able to turn on autorun if its disabled.

Rob If in doubt get the Ball Pein Hammer out
