hello

I want to buy a cdrom-rw for an SGI octane 2. But the quote from seller is about $1700. Does anyone give me some suggestion?

The best thing you can do is to buy for exapmle a SCSI plextor RW and then put this one in a external SCSI case then connect it to the octane. This will work perfectly.
