cdrom drives and lun's in Suse8.2

I installed Suse8.2 and I've noticed a difference in that my cdrom/dvd cdrives no longer use scsi-emulation. I use programs like cdrdao and cdparanoia and they require a lun to identify the device. ex. cdrdao --device 0,1,0

Doing a cdrecord -scanbus outputs only the lun for my cdr-rw drive. Nothing else.

What are my options here?
