Is there some kind of trick to using cdrecord? I used the graphical interface... gnome cdtoast or some such, added the files I want to burn, click record... and nothing happens.

I'm a bit confused, anyone point me in the right direction?

oops missed one checkbox to specify my drive was a writer.. duh!
