CDR TTY has Garbage on screen

I have setup CDR according to other posts. When I connect a terminal to that port all I get is garbage on the screen.

Port settings on Terminal software is
9600-N-8-1 Terminal Type VT100

Try setting the CDR to output on a different TTY port if possible. This will try to prove out the TTY port. Also are you able to capture to another terminal? It appears to be configured correctly. Also is your terminal direct from the PABX cable or is it run via building cabling - try to isolate direct from the PABX cable?

Fixed the problem by deleting the tty and adding it back in.

If using that port for CDR only X out MTC and BUG. On the PC comm port if you are at 9600 8 none and 1 try 9600 7 MARK 1 that works well for both EXXACOM and Call Bill
