CDR Records

I am using a BCM 1000 and I get CDR on my laptop comupter using the CDR wrap software. I tried setting this up on one of my desktop computers and it connects but no CDR. My laptop is Windows XP Media Edition and my desktop is Windows XP Pro. Are there setting on the computer that need to be changed? I was told to got to DCOM and check CDR reporting but the changes that I made did not help. Any clues?

what realease do u use? there are plenty cdr patches... as i know there are often problems on cdr pull... i tried that at the begining and had same problems like u... but then i changed to push (advise from nortel support) and all what i can tell u... push works excelent since 3.0 without any problems....

I am at release 3.5 and have installed the patches for this release. Again I do get the CDR from my BCM on my Lap Top computer but not on my desk top. The problem is not the BCM, but my computer. Any ideas on that?

hi backnine...the firewall on xp pro usually blocks incoming data from the bcm try turning it off.

Make sure that your permissions are correct. Log into the desktop machine with the same account that you logged into your laptop. Try it and see if it works. Reverse that if you need to prove it in the opposite direction.

CDR reporting has had many patches for versions 3.5+ on BCM.

You may want to start by downloading the latest patches.

In 3.5, DCOM still works but I would not rely on that technology. It gets taken out in later versions of BCM.

You can set up BCM 1000 to do an FTP PUSH to a FTP Server (which you cen set up on any Win XP machine). You can also do a CDR PULL using RSI software (
