Friends,
I want to swap config of tty 3 which is outputing CDR records to a pc and move everything to tty 1. Is there a easy way to clone tty 3 to tty 1.
not an easy way, is tty 1 on the core, it usually is and that would be a show stopper... if not turn off cdr, out the cdr data, out the tty that has cty as user, out tty 1 put it back in with user cty, put the cdr_data back in.. to turn off cdr, modify all routes with cdr yes..
Is it possible to simply swap around the cables on the Option?
If you intended that both serial ports would stream out records, ading to what John noted, it would increase your OT pay if you needed to use it for programing changes.
We have a bad paddle board which has 4 ports and our spare has 2 ports, well naturally cdr is on one of the ports that the two port paddle board does not support. Our cpu access is tty 5 and 6.
then you are going to need to follow the original post.. you can't have two tty ports for cty, you can't just change the tty port in cdr_data.. you could move the cables, but if i read your post right, your new paddle board does not have device x port 3 (your current tty cty) so the your moving your cdr to a non hardwared port?
i would have to out the tty, or order a 4 port card.. or change the device number on a working 4 port card..
never do anything that that creates two cards with the same device number, that takes the switch down
