I have a customer that wants track CDR on a laptop. CDR needs to be turned on, I think I know where to do that, just not sure how to get it to the laptop and what form it will show up as?

Thanks

LD22 PRT TYPE ADAN - see what TTY 2 has for USER

LD21 PRT TYPE CDB - look for the "PORT" prompt.

LD17 to add USER CTY to the TTY 2 (assuming it is not in use for another USER)

LD15 to add the PORT number (for example "2" for TTY 2)

LD21 PRT TYPE RDB look for CDR prompts & responses

LD16 to set CDR to YES on the trunk routes

All of this can be a hassle if you are unsure of what TTY does what.

Turn on in CDB assign port

RDB CDR (YES) YES to all types you want CDR on.

Setup in CFN a TTY port with (USER CTY)

CDR TTY port on Option 11C to Serial Port on Laptop.

Raw Text Data

Unless your a programmer, you would need a 3rd party program to do the sorting and reporting.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

There is a excellent excel program called CDR_Import. If you want a printout showing all of the captured data in an easy to read / amend format, then you just import the raw data into it. I think that you can get a copy at the site.

Could not find CDR_Import, do you have a better URL?

Sorry about the mixup. The program isn't there on the TSP Forum anymore. Hopefully you will get my email ok. Otherwise just email me at the link below.

I have CDR turned on in the CDB, CTY on the TTY port, CDR YES on the route, and but do not get CDR records on the screen.

what emulator are you using, i find procomm is best for me
easy to setup...

this could just be a baud rate issue, have a mess around with those settings

NARS/BARS has nothing to do with it.

What TTY Port did you program with USER (CTY)? That is the TTY that will print the CDR.

Of course everyone is under the assumption you have the necessary CDR packages.

4, 151, 259, 108

Depending on what type of CDR you're needing, some or all packages are require.

Basic CDR is included on all Rls
