If you have terminal emulator on a laptop, set it up and send the CDR to that IP address.

have you tried this?

I cant get it to work.

I have my ip address and port etc set in manager and hyper terminal open but it does nothing

Yes I have done before.

Is Hyperterminal set up correctly? Looking on the lan and correct port?

Ah, i have two lan connections. Maybe that is my balls up.

However, when i set it up for tcp it also seems to want an ip address aswell as a port. I dont need to put one do i?

cheers

Nope, open hyper term, set it to tcp(winsock) with port 555 (this is what i have specified in mananegr for cdr.

What am i doing wrong?

hell yeah.

If i run sys mon with the cdr events enabled it it trying to connect to something but cannot see a cdr client (which i am assuming is hyper term).

So ive set hyperterm to tcp and put a port.

do i need an ip address or not? because the IPO should be sending them to me and not me looking to an ip address for them? or am i talking poo?

i've just got it working on port 500, set the ip of my laptop, turned off firewall, opened hyperterminal, set the port and ip,

details showed no problem.

Ive just starred you even though you dont deserve it.

The taker advised that selecting call/wait for a call in hyper term was the option i neededc.

It works.

Star for you both i reckon.

See im not bitter. grumble grumble.

my cdr only shows very little data, don't get duration or anything like that, have it set to unformatted and enhanced but very little info, not enough to work out call charges, etc.

CDR will record the call length in blocks of 5 seconds, calls with a duration less then 5 seconds will show a call duration of 0 seconds.
Not very usefull for call accounting though, SMDR is much better and with a lot of details.
