Is CDP supposed to work across a frame relay network? I have checked my router configs for no cdp run globally and no cdp enable on both the ethernet and serial interfaces yet on my host router I see no CDP neighbors. Its not critical to me to have but would be nice for troubleshooting when remote sites call and say they're down.

Follow up question in that regard, is it the same for lldp as well? I don't recall if Cisco routers do lldp or not.

As far as I know, LLDP is not vendor specific, and it is also a layer 2 protocol. Cisco does support it---it's just that its own flavor is CDP.
