When I recieve an email in outlook, it displays an address or piece of text that describes the sender.

If I set objCDOMail.From="descriptive text" the person recieving my email will not have a return address to email me back, and will just see "descriptive text" in the from field in their email client.

However, in outloook I can set an alias. Recievers of my email see my alias in the from field when they recieve the mail, yet they also revieve my email address.

Can this be done with CDONTS?

Cheers

OOPs!! found out ...

objCDOMail.From = "alias <email@address.co.uk>"

this displays alias in the client and includes the required return address...
