CDONTS/SMTP via Lotus Notes

Previously I have worked in a pure M$ envrioment, using ASP and IIS/SMTP I've been able to send e-mails from my web pages.

In my current contract we have an IIS5.0 machine with SMTP installed and also Lotus. Becuase exchange is not in use there's no obvious way from my ASP code to send an internal e-mail resolved by the notes server.

Any ideas how to do this or even if it's possible?

I am having the exact same situation as this guy!!! I'm running on win2k server with an asp application and they are using a lotus-domino server. I can not get my asp page to send mail anywhere. Error is "Error is processing file in pickup directory." I know this is because of domino server someone plz help. Do I have to create a SMTP remote domain and connect to server somehow? Can I have the lotus-domino server just bypassed? Any information at all would be great! Thanks all.
