cdonts Mail not getting picked up from c:\inetpub\Mailroot\pickup

I've been having a problem with the cdonts mail. I've been trying to send an email using really simple asp code, which should work (I copied and pasted off a site). As far as I can see, there's nothing wrong with the code.

Anyway, when I run it, it says "Mail was Sent" just fine, but I never receive the email at the address I've specified it to send to. I went into Mailroot in Inetpub and searched around and found all of my email messages I'd tried to send in the Pickup folder. Anyone know why they are still in this folder and not sent? Do I need another program? I'm sure CDONTS is installed on my win nt 4 server (that's what's running this script), so why do they stay in that folder and how can I get them to send?

Have you setup the Default SMTP server in the IIS MMC and told it your SMTP server name etc? New Zealand, a great place to live.
