How do i put a GIF image into my CDONT HTML code. If i put in the HTML reference, obviously the image won't appear if it points to a file on a local server. I can point to a http request for a picture but the picture isn't on a public server.

I can attach an image to the file using server.mappath, - but this doesn't appear in the body of my email.

any help?

trusting that your HTML formatted email is coded correctly

HTML = HTML & "<IMG SRC=""

thanks,

what i actually wanted was to make the image standalone, in the email without fetching it from elsewhere.

i.e. attach it and put some code in the email to make the attached image appear in the body of the text.

Correct, it will attach, not display. I tried to get the MHT file working with CDONTS but it didn't work at all for me. Your best bet is to use FQDNs in your links.
