I have created two new CDN's and tried to acquire in sympoisum but sits with acquire pending.....refreshed and still sitting at the screen.....What could cause that to sit? I've out and mirrored to another acquired CDN but still sitting at that state.

Compare the programming of the CDN with an existing one to check for any differences.

The other thing to check is if you've reached the limit for your configurable CDNs (See Config >> Historical stats)

You could also check the server for events or alarms to see if that sheds any light upon what's happening.

OK - the symposium in question is tied in with another site symposium. I will check thanks

don't do a stare and compare on cdn that are acquire.
when a cdn is acquire a couple of the prompts changes.
make sure the new cdn are built with rprt and cntl set to no if you're on a release 25.xx or lower. if you're on 3.0 and higher those prompts should be defaulted to no now, but verify it by printing it after you created it.

when acquire the sccs will change the rprt and cntl to yes, don't make the change yourself

I checked historical stats and showing 15 created/750 purchased....
I copied from DNs that were created that were not acquired in symposium and still failed. The 2 CDNs stayed on Acquiring pending for over 2 hours. Then separate existing one jumped from acquired to deacquired. The symposium server then could not receive calls so had to reboot. Could the acquiring issue caused server services to stop?
Anywhere i can look to see what other issues? I see nothing in Alrams from SMI workbench....thanks for your help
