CDE error, can't logout,lock.

CDE HANG , CAN'T LOGOUT OR LOCK ALSO.

error message:
the request to service this action has failed for following reason:TT_ERR_NO_MATCHNo handler could be found for this message, and the disposition was not queue or start.

any sugessions????? aix4.3 with ML10 6c1 server.

The most common occurance of the problem is related to customers who have two network adapters in the same subnet and in some cases with the same hostname associated with both adapters.

Other issues were with console pointed at device that had been removed, bad name resolution, full /var, errors in /var/dt files, and sometimes after su to another user in the aixterm.

In some cases rebooting has solved this problem, but that is a copout

So the error can come from a lot of circles. Try
/usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -kill
