We are having a bit of a problem with CDE cpp processes.
Our unreliable (!!) nfs server keeps crashing and occasionally on workstations and login boxes there is a CDE cpp process which prevents users from logging back on to their workstations. We try to kill the cpp process but when users try to log back in they are presented with black screens! The only resolution we have so far found is to reboot the workstation they are logging into. Rebooting workstations is not a big issue, but we also have boxes which multiple users log into and only a small number of these users are affected.
Has anyone come across this problem before and if so did you find an alternative to rebooting ?
Many thanks
Mark
