hi all,
ear All,
I am facing a problem that my Dual authentication
Setup works well for important users including Root.
But in CDE environment this setup does not work..
That is while logging in CDE as root user it does
Not ask for dual authentication….probably reason is that
CDE login session reads .dtprofile first ao all
Any ideas to solve the problem.

Don't know if this will help or not...
If you have used /usr/lib/X11/Xdm/Xdmconf -e to enable XDM as your
default login method, you will notice that your
$HOME/.profile isn't being executed. Here's why:

The configuration file being executed by default is /usr/lib/X11/Xdm/Xsession.
There is a section in that file for the various shells (ksh, csh, bash, etc.)
that is commented out. If you uncomment this section,
The $HOME/.profile or $HOME/.login will be executed. To find this section,
vi the file, and search for XDM_LOGIN=true. Uncomment that line,
and every line below it until the esac line (you may, of course, be selective
with which shells you enable). Quit MWM and login again.
Your profile will now be executed.
-----------------------------
How to Get the .profile to execute in CDE
1. Uncomment the last line (DTSOURCEPROFILE=true) in the .dtprofile file in
each user's home directory. You may have to restart CDE for this to take
effect.

To get the .kshrc to execute do this:
2. In the .profile file, add the following:
export ENV=$HOME/.kshrc
--------------------------------------

I am not sure that is where the /etc/security/login.cfg gets it stuff to do authen..
.but it is worth a try I guess. Sorry never thought about dual authen and CDE
#-)
