CD8 printing soft drop shadows over color bkgrnd

When trying to print soft drop shadows over a color background you get a lighter colored box around drop shadow. This is in Corel Draw 8. It views just fine. I've tried converting objects to curves w/o any luck. Suggestions? [sig][/sig]

I have had similar problems when printing complicated effects from Corel. It is usually a problem with the printer's capabilities. Not enough memory and such. What I did was export the corel page as a tif file or a jpeg or any bitmap format and print from Photoshop or Photopaint and it usually resolved my problems. [sig][/sig]
