CD writer not compatable with HiFi CD player!

My Marantz cd player had no problems when I burnt discs using my old HP writer, now when copying using my Liteon 32 speed writer at the lowest possible speed (4x) using Nero, when I play the cdr in my HIFI the index points are not recognised, although the discs will play all the way through with perfect sound. The burnt discs are fine in other players. I have tried different media, all with the same results. Also I have tried to burn using a different copy program, same again. Is there a way to make nero burn at a lower speed? Is that the answer?
