CD Skips....Suggestions?

Hello Folks,

I have a P3 Dell on which I installed Windows XP. Everything works ok except the CD player. I tried to play a music CD and the CD player skips intermittantly. I played a song from my hard disk to eliminate the graphic card as the culprit and the song played fine. I was jus using Windows Media player to play the song.

Should I replace the CD?
