CD-RW

Hi All,

I'm installing a lite-on combo dvdcd-rw. I do not have original software the came with burner. I have installe nero and can use it to burn cd's and dvd's. However I know that on some pc's you can format and drag and drop file from the drive letter under my computer for cd-rw's. I cannot do this. It will not read a blank cd-rw and does not give me the option to format. How can make this work. I have already updated the firmware but that did not help.

Have you downloaded the windows updates?
I'm asking this because there is one windows update that has to do directly with the recording cd's in windows.

Windows XP?

If so, right-click the drive and go to Properties. You'll see a recording tab if Windows recognizes it as a burner.

It was DLA problem. I installled Veritas DLA from one of my sony burners and it started working .... thank you for you help
