Ihave a Compaq Presario 4814 with 64 meg, 6.5 hd, 24x cd rom, 100 meg zip drive, Acer cdrw 4432a, Win 95, Easy CD Creator 4.02. Here are my errors. T0100: I/O error {06/C5/00) write error buffer underrun occured. T0100: I/O error (06/C5/00) write error buffer underrun occurred. T7118: TrackWriter error - Command retry failed. I have made plenty of cd's inthe past. Now I get this error always at the end of burnning a cd.

For one this could mean that your computer is being used too much for it to burn (too much CPU Usage while yer burning) you didnt install any new software lately? especially anti-virus or other system scanning software? Also this is typically a Software Related problem (and it's always seems to be Adaptec) I have burned using FireBurner and CDrWin, while I was waiting for the Adaptec CD to get to me for my Mitsumi drive, I've burned sucessfully with the FireBurner, and CDrWin software, but with the Adaptec, before it can even start burning, it says "Buffer underRun error" So I feel compeled that this is a software related issue, also just to let you know what it means to have a buffer underun, is that in every CDrw, has a buffer, since burning must be done continually without interrupts, if the buffer runs low, and the computer cant fill the buffer up in time, this disrupts the burning process.
Karl
kb244@kb244.com
<a href=
Experienced in : C++(both VC++ and Borland),VB1(dos) thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, HTML, Visual InterDev 6(ASP(WebProgramming/Vbscript)
I don't know what speed your CDR is but try turning the write speed down in CD Creator. This should temporarily fix your problem .
Al
atc-computing@home.com
