I think it was beacuse of a "Microsoft ActiveSync" problem.
I have a IBM ThinkPad T41P, and the CD, LPT1 and COM1 have an exclamation mark circled with yellow and the CD won't be read.
One thing is that it should be a port conflict, but how the hell to I change it and make it work again? all three ports?
does any one know?

thank you so much in advance for your help.

Try first, Cpntrol panel > system > device manager > and remove/delete the conflicting devices.

Re-Boot and your OS should 'find new hardware' and if things go well, will re-install these correctly. You might be asked to provide a driver disk, but should not for the items you have listed.

damn...
it didn't work...

it still says "cannot install this hardware" "an error occurred during the installation of the device" "driver is not instended for this platform"

... scheisse...

Are you still at having all three in conflict?

Try disabling one by one to see if that will correct any of the others.

As this was not always this way, do you recall what you might have changed or installed prior to this problem??
