Weird problem this - My system autodetects my CD-ROM drive fine except when I plug my printer cable in. Then it takes an age to find it. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. The CD light stays on while its looking - no flashing like normal. I've tried looking at the BIOS settings, but nothings jumping out at me - Can anyone help?

The printer is connected via USB, or is it Parallel? Does the same thing happen if you leave your printer plugged in and reboot the pc?

Its a parallel connection and there's no change if have the printer on or off no matter how many times I reboot.

Any use?
