cd-rom headphone jacks

my cd-rom and cd burner headphone jacks don't work after upgrading to xp pro.....any help out there???

Are you talking about the ones on the front of the drives with their own volume control? I've never looked into it, but I highly doubt that these jacks are in any way affected by the operating system.

I agree they are not operated by the OS, have you tried another set of headphones? or the headphones on another machine?

Two previous posters are correct O/S has nothing to do with jacks on the front of your cdrom, infact some motherboards allow you to play music cd's thru cdrom without even powering the system on ;)
