CD r12 Deleting Text Path SOS 2

Can anyone help delete a path I created to fit text? It is just an arc but now is a semingly permanant part of the text. I tried the vertual Segment Delete tool and it wouldn't even select it. ax2n38

did you try selecting the object then going into Arrange and then breaking the text apart?

Javabear, Yes I've tried that. The text goes from the arch back to level. Funny thing: when I break it apart the path and text are still one object. Thanks Much ax2n38

Control click the path and put it onto a non printing layer - no need to delete then and available for editing.

Brushman, Thanks for your reply. I tried working on the layers in object manager. My text and path seem to be married to each other and don't want to divorce, could the fact that it is paragraph text have anything to do with it? Anyone?

sure could. Usually you only use Artistic Text for text on path.

The font I picked (georgia) starts out as paragraph text, it was down hill after that. Looks good now, thanks
