CD Driver icon doesn't show. 1

hi,
I just moving on the cd rom drive, and surely check the cable..! ...But I the icon on the Windows Explorer doesn't show..??
Anyone can help..?

If BIOS sees the drive I'd try the OS forum for your OS to ask this question.

The answer is "42"
 
You didn't say whether the CD works or not, so I'll offer two choices.

If it doesn't, then I'd delete it in Device Manager, and restart. Windows should detect it, and install the correct driver.

If it does:

That seems to be a fairly common occurence if someone installs Itunes. Seems like it will play CD's, but not data disks.
Stopping Itunes resolves the issue, though.
