CD Drive Problems

both my CD drives have just randomly stopped showing the media title. One is stuck on Vice City, the other, Audio CD. No matter what I put in there, they only say that.

any ideas?

Have you installed SP1 yet? See if any of these help.

See if System Restore will get you back to a restore point before your problem with Cd's.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.
