After a reinstall of the OS (Win2KPRO) and reinstall of drivers my two CD:s (a master r and slave r/w on IDE channel 2) behaves mysteriously -
Both have trouble reading and, when tried on the same CD, in the the event viewer -
. the master r generates an ERROR and is stated as "having a bad block"
. the slave r/w generates a WARNING and is stated as having "problems in paging operation"
IDE Channel 2 is set to "DMA if available" which on my system means both devices run on UDMA.
Where/How can I beging troubleshooting this? Is there CD-Diagnostic software around? Or some site delivering info and drivers to all sorts of CD:s. My problem is I don't have any documentation for the CD-R (a no-name kind of something). The CD-RW is a BenQ.
