CD burner guestion

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not. But, I am running Windows 2000 and recently had a Polaroid BurnMA X32 cd burner installed. The darn thing is really flaky. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. Windows Explorer will sometimes not list it as a drive. Has anyone else had a problem like this or use this brand of cd burner. I'd appreciate any help.
