Hi,

I'm running CCC on a Server running Windows 2003 Server Service Pack 2. I am able to get everything setup, connect to the Delta Server and run CCV on the Server, but none of the clients are able to connect to the Delta Server, and therefore cannot run CCV. I spoke to John at Catalyst, and he informed me of two things. One was that the Server name cannot have a dash in it (fixed that), and the second thing was that Service Pack 2 was not supported yet for CCC.

Anyone have a work around for this?

Thanks,

Jo Levi

Can you ping the Delta server's computer name ?

If not can you ping the ip address of the server ?

Have you tried turning off the firewall ?

CCV seems to use netbios, so adding the name and ip address into the hosts files helps.

Have you run through the Security Configuration Wizard? Tech Tip 119.. It's for SP1, but you may still want to take a gander at it.

We're running service pak 2 no problems. Only thing weve had lately was a MS Firewall fix that stopped clients on other subents to the server from connecting. This is easily fixed in the Firewall exception scopes.

Try stoppinfg the firewall service and see if you can connect, if you can just follow the Avaya Docs as h382 says.

Also, CCV uses Netbios to find the server, if your network doesn't use netbios, you will need to manually update your LMHosts file on the client pc.

h382,

I cant seem to find the tip you are referring to, can you send me the link?

Thanks.

2003 sp2 is not supported until september.

There are changes that impact CCC, you wont get any help from Avaya on this one.

also look at the 2003 sp1 security mods doc that h382 suggests.

ACA - IP Office Implement
ACS - IP Office Implement
ACE - IP Office Implement

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Unfortunately, none of the suggestions have made it work.

Right now I am able to view the Delta Server when I load CCV, but when I select that server I get an Error Message stating "Permission denied whilst connecting to server machine or process". Once I click OK, I get another error stating "Couldn't connect to Delta Server, Stopping CCV".

Any Suggestions?

Have you adjusted the Access Permissions as per the installation guide (pg17)?

Sounds like you don't have Security rights for the CCC folder on the server. If both are part of a domain enable modify access for CCC and subfolders for that user.
If not in a domain, enable sharing and map the drive.
We have it running with 2003 SP2.

we fixed this by joining the pc to the domain and setting the security.

thanks
