The Path # (except 0) in programming is equal to what the caller press's in total to get to that option.
Path 0 = Main greeting "thank you for calling ABC, for sales press 1, for address and fax # press 2 etc.
Path 1 would be - TRSFR to Internal to ext 2XX
Path 2 would be INFO and record greeting indicating both address and fax #
or you could break it up further...
Path 0 = Main greeting "thank you for calling ABC, for sales press 1, for address and fax # press 2 etc.
Path 2 would be MENU and record greeting "for address press 1, for fax # press 2.
-Path 21 would be INFO and record greeting indicating address
-Path 22 would be INFO and record greeting indicating fax #
MENU means you will have further options.
TRSF (int or ext) means it will transfer to a phone # or an internal extension
INFO means just a greeting with no further options
Note that some small business will indicate "for our company employee list press X"
Normal protocol is to press # then spell the persons name.
So the cheat method would be Path 3 = MENU
Being that its not a true menu you would fool it by making another choice further in such as Path 38 (or 3?) then select Tsfer to receptions set or what ever you want, this will complete the Path/Tree.
In other words if you choose MENU you must create further choices.
