I have noticed that in BCM50 2.0 and BCM400 4.0 the CCR Home menu greeting plays twice before going to the attendent extension. In BCM400 3.7 and BCM50 1.0 this does not happen. Has anyone come across this and figured out a solution? THANKS!
I had the same issue a few weeks ago. I was advised from another forum that there is a notification about this in the Knowledge Base on Nortels website. It appears to be a product fault, and the workaround is to change voicemail interface from Callpilot to NVM (Norstar Voice Mail)
Sorry for the delay.
If you log onto Nortel Knowledge Base and enter the query CCR Menu Repeat, the following is what you receive.
CCR Tree home node repeats itself.
Problem Description
The customer is using a CCR Tree, which functions as follows:
Company Greeting: "Thank you for calling Business XYZ".CCR Tree Home Node:- "Press 1 for xxx"- "Press 2 for yyy"
The company greeting plays as expected. If the calling party does not enter a DTMF digit (1 or 2 in this case), the Home Node repeats itself two more times, with a long pause between the first and second repeats, before transferring to the Auto Attendant.
Notes:1. At the advisement of the PLM, a software change was made in BCM 4.0 software whereby the CCR Home Node Menu is expected to play once and then repeat once before going to the AA. This differs from BCM 3.x functionality and is the new design intent.2. The CCR Home Node should only repeat once rather than twice as is occurring in this situation. This second repeat is occurring when the Primary UI Style is set to CallPilot instead of Nortel Voice Mail.
Problem Resolution
Perform the following steps to change the Primary UI style from CallPilot to Nortel Voice Mail:
1. Access Call Pilot Manager.
2. Select System Properties.
3. In the Primary UI Style list box select NVM.
4. Submit.

Actually I always use the NVM UI, and it still happens.
I found the location on the Nortel site though. Thanks anyway. So they actually know about the problem but only want to put a bandaid on it.
It's no bandaid. Nortel just feels that people who use Customer Controlled Routing actually EXPECT that their customers will control the routing by interacting with the machine.
On the latest Top Tips bulletin (13 June 07), they are addressing this issue. The following patch BCM.R400.096 BCM.R400.096-VOICEMAIL - NEW THIS WEEK is in Beta Status
Checked the PEP library patch still not release, did anyone get update on this or does anyone tried to follow Nortel workaround change the Call Pilot to NVMI?
