CCNP/VOIP Home study lab

Hi,

I'm looking around to buy a Cisco layer 3 switch for my CCNP home study lab and it seems like the WS-C3550-48-EMI is a good choice. I also want to learn Cisco VOIP but I don't know anything about equipment requirements for learning VOIP. Can anyone give me some recommendations? Should I buy a 3550 with PoE? Is there a different switch you would recommend? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

I would look to buy a 3560 if you plan on continuing on to your CCIE.

I agree---the CCNP studies shouldn't involve the layer 3 switch too much, but the VoIP and CCIE should. Brian---was there a huge jump between the 3560 and 3750, besides the ability to stack?

What additional features does the 3560 have that are needed for the CCIE?

The CCIE lab now includes the 3560. The 3560 IOS has alot of features that the 3550 doesnt have.
