My manager has given me a Cisco CCNP Training Kit on CD, to use in order to pass the 4 CCNP exams.

Has anyone used this, is it good, do I need to use it in conjunction with a book or something else. And, how long does it usually take to read all the chapters and complete the study guide?. I don't want to rush it, but I need to have an idea of how long, so I can set aside a certain no of hours a week for it.

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jane

Check out the Cisco Press's CCNP Libary suite of books.
They cover than what you will need for the test.

I bought this piece of junk CD, really it doesnt work correctly, im not alone, most people rated the CD 1/5 stars on amazon. Dont bother reading the PDF, its useless, the references and bookmarks dont work right. The ONLY thing I would use that CD for is for simple questions, and answers. Forget reading the material, forget using the links for reference on it. Like Jsteve said, the CCNP cert library is much better. This CCNP kit is a disgrace to Cisco, putting their name on it. If you must use it, go to ciscopress.com and get the service pack. They came out with the patch like 1 month after the products release, probably because everyone who had ever bought it gave it a bad review. If you dont beleive it check out amazon or bn.com and check the reviews there. At least you got it for free, unlike me, wasting $100 for this piece of junk.
