I started studying for the switching exam last year and due to work commitments never took the exam. I now have some spare time to commence studying. I did the BSCN course and bought the Todd Lammel book, all of which were for the 640-504 exam. Could anyone advise what are the differnces between the two exams.

Thanks in Advance

sorry, it was the BCMSN course I took not the BSCN.

Well, the concepts are the same. The only difference is that there are 'simulation' questions on the new exams. If you don't have access to any routers/switches, I suggest atleast getting one of the simulators(Sybex, RouterSim). You can still study from the older materials, but I would suggest looking for Practice Tests for the NEW exams. There are plenty of them on the internet...(i.e. Search on for 'free ccnp practice tests').
