Hi all,
Is there any simulation question in CCNP Composite Exam 642-891 like in CCNA exam?
55-65 questions in 60 minutes with simulation seems bit too much for one to handle.
thanks
the test is 88 questions and 120 minutes as late as october 6th. I took it for a recert using the older bcmsn and bcsn .....There were at least 6 simulations which demanded multiple objectives be completed. I kinda gave up on the lot of them after not being able to get line vty 0 4 to work.... I was disappointed at best with Cisco's harping on ISIS which they do out of some combination of irrationality, guilt, or greed as to completely screw the "Old School".If you've never encountered it before, their simulator was frazzling. Many of the questions were offered just for the trivial sake of NOT being in the older material. If they needed the 185 USD so bad ,,they should have got it the old fashioned way and soaked it out of the fools in the Stock Market.
sounds like CCNP simulator questions are dreadful.
that 88 questions seems too many problems per seating if you ask me.
okay then, do you have any advice for me, because i will be taking the composite exam in about two weeks. such as any subject that comes up more often than other types? and especially on simulation questions, i would appreciate it much. thanks.
I would practice end of chapter excersises on the simulator and not a real switch....that will train you for the obnoxious scroll bars that you must navigate to read both the scenario and the task requests. One thing I couldn't seem to be able to do was refer back to the diagram in the middle box once the simulator itself was started. Neither alt-esc or attempting to move the simulator would allow me to review the diagram. Of course your guess is as good as mine on where to get one of these simulators. If they sold them, "wouldn't sell" (except to train for this exam).
Know popular multicast addresses. If you can find a documented address for eigrp , well good luck.
Oh yeah ...presumably the QOS model must be mentioned in the newer books...otherwise be familiar with that. Tail drop and WRED are also mentioned. STill the same old frame-relay bandwidth questions which by the way I don't think Cisco themselves subscribe to if you ever have worked with their P4 regarding frame......Other than that ISIS>>>>mucho!!!
I had the same problem with the simulator when I sat for the compiste exam on Oct 13 formy recertification. Can any one suggest where can I find a copy of the simulator?
Jerkiest is right, it is a silly program, commands what work on a real switch, do not work on the simulator.
any book reference where I can find some info about what works and what don't in this simulator. I also asted lots of time de to this simulator.
