I passed the routing exam yesterday. You have to know BGP inside and out. Know OSPF and EIGRP commands and setup.
VLSM, distance vector, and link state. Policy routing, route distribution, and more. I found the cisco CCNP prep library to be a good study guide, good luck! “Reserve your right to think, for even to think wrongly is better than not to think at all”

COngrats!!!!! I thought this was the hardest one with Switching in a close second. BGP was not something I worked with on a regular basis.. like at all ;-)

To add to jeter's notes, I used Cisco' Academy Semester5 labs for practice lab using BGP and OSPF. I will caution that I found a few errors in their material but overall it was not bad.

A sidebar, many of my notes have been used to match the Cisco labs to our rental rack. So if you want to practice BGP for example, our rack is config'ed that you can take the labs from the Semester5 book and be able to do them.

I will never use BGP in my current line of work. OSPF, Eigrp, VLSM, and load balancing yes. It is amazing, but on the other hand Cisco is trying their. “Reserve your right to think, for even to think wrongly is better than not to think at all”
