Quick question on the remote access exam. I took both the class and have read/studied the cisco press book. Both discussed using the 700 router as a remote location router and talked about how to config. When I look at the Boson practice exams, there is no mention of the 700. Did they finally drop this from the exam in favor of Cisco IOS routers (800, 1600, etc...)?

Answers like "I had xx questions on such and such" are a violation of the NDA. Besides, I have always found Cisco's outlines to be VERY accurate as to exam content.

Actually, giving the exact questions is a violation, however, lets see if I can generalize here (since CCDA is being retired in 6 weeks). When I took the CCDA exam,
the exam had numerous questions regarding as many as three separate case studies, and numerous questions on various
types of LAN/WAN protocols, Routed and Routing Protocols, and the three layer and design models for Cisco, plus a
few other things thrown in.
Now, does what I just posted constitute a violation of the NDA, I don't think so, otherwise, places like boson and transcenders would go out of business.

Totally agreed. If you generalize, no big deal. But if someone doesn't already know at least the generalization, they don't stand a chance anyway. If you read the entire NDA, what I said is true. "I had XX number of questions..." is a clear violation that show up a lot in these forums (it's the "XX" part that gets you). And they're completely worthless. There are too many variations of an exam for the number of questions on a topic on any one version to matter. Besides, Cisco does a great job of keeping their outlines aligned with the actual exam. That was my real point. Go to the exam vendor instead of unreliable "eye witnesses."

I didn't intend to start a discussion on the ethics, morality, and legallity of releasing specific test information... The basic question is "Are non-ios routers such as the 700 still covered on the Remote Access exam?"...
I think that's pretty general...

Cisco used to list the 700 in its exam outline. It no longer does. I personally wouldn't bother to study anything that wasn't in the outline (especially something that Cisco went out of their way to remove from the outline -- they must've done that for a reason). But even if I tell you that it absolutely is or absolutely isn't in the exam, how can you trust me? There isn't one single copy of the exam, and the many versions that do exist are routinely cycled in and out of service anyway.

when i took the new vertion of the remote access test i had questions on the 700 router. they were very basic questions thought.
